My name is Chuck Chvala. Actually, my name is Charles Chvala the third. Being the third is a dubious honor at best, but it usually makes for an interesting conversation. I live in Madison, Wi. This is where I have spent the last 28 years of my life.

I am a father of 2. My daughter is 11 going on awesome and my son is 8 going on amazing. My wife and I live on the west side of Madison and we love this city. In my spare time, I am a reader, boater and a photographer. I’ve been involved in them for as long as I can remember.

I am a hard working mid-western boy with:

• extensive planning and management experience.
• dedication to my Customer.
• the ability to adapt to many situations.

I have worked for a local construction company for 25 years. In my time there I was a trainer, laborer, lab technician, machine operator, manager, technical writer as well as donning many other hats. Those 25 years have seen upturns and downturns in the economy and thus, the construction industry as well. In my last 5 years at that company we have had to work harder than ever with fewer employees and that practice has definitely taken its toll physically and mentally in my life. That pretty much leads to where I am today. I have returned to school to pursue a college career that I turned away from 25 years ago.

I am pursuing a career that embraces the graphic arts degree that I initiated in 1988 with my photography and my computer skills. Visual Communications is the program that I have chosen to bridge those skills.
